Welcome to the shop. Get to know us better -

Who are you?

We are the team at Four Color Fantasties, a comic shop in Winchester,VA.

The shop has been awarded the Image Select Retailer Award and is an Eisner Nominee for the Spirit of Comics Award.

What is the charity?

The annual fundraiser goes to benefit Literacy Volunteers Winchester Area, a group dedicated to providing literacy support and education for adults including citizenship/naturalization test tutoring, English learning, digital literacy education, and more.

Who draws the covers?

All artwork is donated by a broad range of established Comic Pros, Indie Creators, Hobbyists, & young aspiring comic artists.

Can I contribute?

We partner with creatives worldwide.

Every year an Open Call is put out across all our socials for artists interested in participating. If you'd like to join us next year contact the shop via any of our socials. We'll get back to you with a list of covers we have available and we'll ship one out to you to be sketched. When you're done just send it back.

When are the winning bids shipped?

Auction runs a full month, after which winning bids are contacted, settled, & shipped out.

Are you an artist or comics creator?

Here's how to get in on this -

For Artists -

From pros to hobbyists. We partner with artists worldwide and we appreciate every piece sent to us.

1) Contact the shop, let us know you're ready to sketch!

2) We'll let you know what blanks we have on hand (but if you have one that's great too!). We'll send those covers out to you.

3) Send us your sketched cover by the deadline. (Items that arrive past the deadline will be part of next years event.)

For other creators -

Got signed comic scripts? Exclusive merch? Are you crafty?Over the years we've had some cool, offbeat, and inventive items sent in to be auctioned off. Just drop us a line and let us know if you have something you'd like to contribute!
